Postdoc positions in Hot and Dense QCD at the LHC

The QCD phenomenology group at the Department of Particle Physics at the University of Santiago de Compostela and IGFAE invites applications for postdoc positions. The group has recently been selected for a Europeach Research Council Starting Grant entitled Hot and Dense QCD in the LHC era. The project will be carried out at the University of Santiago de Compostela (coordinator) and CERN.

The postdocs positions will be hosted at the University of Santiago de Compostela but approximately a 20% time at CERN is included in the grant. The actual periods for the stays will be decided together with the postdoc fellow after her/his succesful application.

Two or three postdocs are expected to start in fall 2012. Applications should be made through the on-line application form

Deadline for application 10th December 2011

A Curriculum Vitae, including a list of publications, and a statement of research interest are requested, as well as, at least, two reference letters.

If further information is needed, please contact carlos.salgado@usc.es

The on-line form is the preferred method for applications. In case this is not possible,
please, send the material via email (carlos.salgado@usc.es) or surface mail to
